Solution:-
In a rectangle opposite sides are congruent.
So
AB = DC and AD = BC
Put the given values.
y = 3 …(1) , and 4 = y – x …(2)
Substitute the value of y from equation (2) to equation (2)
4 = 3 – x => x = -1
Put the value of x = -1 in the equation (2)
4 = y – (-1) => y = 3
So the value of x = -1 and y = 3
