a)    How many houses can be served by a water pipe that has a 40-centimeter diameter?

b)    What size of water pipe is needed for a new subdivision of 1960 houses?

 

Solution:-

 

a)    A water pipe that has a 40-centimeter diameter can supply 640 houses.

b)    A water pipe that a 70 –centimeter diameter can supply 1960 houses.
