Problem 567

Explain the connections and parallels in finding missing side lengths and angle measures in a right triangle using the trigonometric functions.

Solution:-

The similarities in finding side lengths and angle measures relates to using the trigonometric ratios of sine, cosine, and tangent. When using each of the trigonometric functions, it is important to use the mnemonic device SOH-CAH-TOA to help remember the ratios.

Or

If a  traingle ABC is right triangle then angle A = opposite/ hypotenuse

angle B =  adjacent/hypotenuse

angle C =  opposite/adjacent
