Find the equation of the line in the graph to the right by using the slope-intercept method. Be sure to check the scale of the graph.

Solution

slope= $\frac{0-6}{8-0}=-\frac{6}{8}= -\frac{3}{4}$

From graph y intercept b = 6

So equation of line is y= – $\frac{3}{4}$ x+6
