A polynomial function of degree n is defined by

f(x) = a_nxⁿ + a_n-1 x^n-1 + ….. +a₁x + a_0,..

for real numbers a_n, a_n-1,…..a₁, and a₀ , where a_n ≠ 0 and n is a whole number.
