Factoring Differences of Squares
To factor a difference of squares, we use the following equation.
A2 – B2 = (A + B) (A – B)
To factor a difference of squares A2 – B2, we find A and B, which are square root of the expressions A2 and B2. We than use A and B to from two factor. One is the sum A + B, and the other is the difference A – B.
