**Factoring Differences of Squares**

** **

To factor a difference of squares, we use the following equation.

A^{2} – B^{2 = }(A + B) (A – B)

To factor a difference of squares A^{2} – B^{2, }we find A and B, which are square root of the expressions A^{2} and B^{2}. We than use A and B to from two factor. One is the sum A + B, and the other is the difference A – B.
