Problem 341

Problem 341

Conduct an interview to find out how someone else responds to the question , “Why is a negative number times a negative number a positive number?” Write a report describing your findings.

Solution

We have a  product 3(-4) =-12 ,to find a negative number times a negative number a positive number. If we see 3(-4) answer is negative, so -3(-4) can’t be -12 as there is one negative sign is extra. So only remaining option for -3(-4) is positive 12.
